Little Lanterns

Status: Candidate series bible
Audience: Preschool and early elementary
Format: 4–5 minute musical animated shorts
Core cast: Lumi and Pip
Series engine: A letter opens the door to a guest, a small problem, a discovery, a song, and a warm closing image.

Promise

Lumi and Pip explore a welcoming world in which letters are not abstract lessons. Each letter becomes a character, place, object, action, feeling, or act of kindness. The audience learns by joining an adventure rather than being tested.

Tone

Warm, musical, playful, emotionally clear, gently funny, and visually luminous. Problems are small enough for a young viewer to understand and meaningful enough to reward cooperation, curiosity, courage, or care.

Repeatable engine

Letter + season lens + guest + problem + discovery + song + shine

Every season contains 26 A–Z episodes. The alphabet creates familiarity; a new season lens creates novelty without discarding the characters, musical language, or production system. Every season must pass the season viability rule: 26 distinct guests or anchors, environments, props, actions, and emotional situations without visual repetition.

What the show is not

  • A classroom lecture with story decoration
  • A rapid montage of disconnected vocabulary
  • A character redesign from episode to episode
  • A song pasted onto a finished story

Current priorities

  1. Lock Lumi and Pip reference packs.
  2. Validate the 12-shot image-to-video sequence pipeline.
  3. Produce one complete alphabet proof episode.
  4. Record prompts and generation provenance as reusable production data.
